Artspan artist Jane Fier creates beautifully atmospheric landscapes and abstracts .
"Currently my work is about conveying a mood from my impressions of nature. I do this by using elements of color, light and shadow and at times by abstracting the shapes I see in a place that has inspired me. I have found that painting monotypes in watercolor and acrylic on canvas are the best media to translate my perspective of the constantly evolving landscape. The monotype, often described as a painterly form of printmaking, allows me to express the feeling I have toward my subject in a spontaneous, emotional way.
Jane Fier contacted us recently to ask if we could help her update her website. We love her work and were glad to oblige. She wanted something a little more contemporary and elegant, to match her artwork, and she wanted to keep it simple with a white or pale background. We updated the fonts on her site and chose colors to sublty set off her artwork. We also cleaned up the text and image arrangements on her interior pages.
